Ilona Kubiaczyk-Adler
Ilona Kubiaczyk-Adler received her early musical education in Poland, where she began piano studies at the age of eight and organ at 16. Her passion for music, especially organ music, has since taken her throughout Poland, Europe, and North and South America.
She holds a D.M.A. from Arizona State University in the United States, where she studied with Kimberly Marshall; an M.M. from the Amsterdam Conservatory, where she studied with Jacques van Oortmerssen; and an M.A. from the Academy of Music in Łódź. She has also earned professional diplomas in chamber music and music education. From 2004-2008, she was an assistant professor in the Organ, Harpsichord, and Early Music department at the Academy of Music in Łódź. From 2010-2012, she was first a Research and Teaching Assistant, then a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University.
She won first prize in the French music interpretation competition in Warsaw, was a finalist in the 11th National Organ Competition in Leiden, Holland, and was a semifinalist in the Dublin International Organ Competition. She received a scholarship from the Royal College of Organists while studying in Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
She currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona, where she is Music Director at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity. She also teaches private students and performs in the United States and Europe. Her website is at www.kubiaczyk.com.
